  1. Green Jobs in Asia Regional Conference

    22 May 2012

    On 20-22 June 2012, a tripartite regional workshop will discuss the Green Jobs in Asia project to highlight successful approaches, areas of improvement and the way forward. Representatives from GJA will include Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines and Sri Lanka. They will be joined by additional countries with Green Jobs experience: China, Fiji, India and Thailand.

  2. Financial Education Training for Cooperatives Board and Members

    The purpose of this training is to assist the cooperative board of Bromo and its members in understanding the importance of financial management and cost accounting principles aimed at improving community welfare and income generation vis-à-vis the promotion of environmentally sustainable livelihood activities.

  3. Roll-Out Training for Experienced Ecotour Guides

    The main purpose of the roll-out training for ecotour guides is to provide experienced tour-guides, as well as potential ecotour guides, the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to plan and manage ecotours in line with the national competency standards for ecotour guides defined by the Indonesian Government.

  4. Roll-Out Training for Beginner Ecotour Guides

    Under this activity, participants will be trained on the skills requirements to meet national ecotour guide competency standards, aimed at enabling participants to enhance their abilities and increase their employability within the tourism industry.

  5. Training of Trainers (ToT) for Ecotour Guides

    One of the selected activities to be undertaken by the Green Jobs in Asia project is a Training of Trainer (ToT) workshop on eco tour guiding for skilled tour guides in the Lombok area. Training will be designed to be participatory and interactive, encouraging participants to advocate for sustainable tourism in the West Nusatenggara.

  6. Roll-Out Training for Beginner Ecotour Guides

    25 April 2012

    The main purpose of the roll-out training for ecotour guides therefore is to give experienced tour-guides and potential eco-tour guides the necessary skills to conduct their specific activity following the ecotour guide national competency standards as stipulated by the Indonesian Government.

  7. Local investments for climate change adaptation: Green Jobs through green works

    09 April 2012

    Efforts to mitigate climate change and its impact should be inclusive of poor communities and help them to adapt to the new living and working conditions. Communities can use local resource-based strategies to reduce the impact of development on the climate.

  10. Roll-Out training for experienced ecotour guides

    23 February 2012

    One of the activities that would be undertaken by the Green Jobs in Asia project for the local stakeholders at the Lake Toba area is eco tour guide training in forms of Training of Trainers (ToTs) for the skilled tour guides and followed by a rollout training for beginners and experienced tour guides.
