2012

  2. Endorsement of Gender Responsive Labour Inspection Toolkit and Gender Mainstreaming in PC by Department of Labour Punjab

    15 November 2012

    In a meeting at the Industrial Relations Institute, Secretary Labour Punjab approved the PC-1 drafted by the Gender Focal Person in consultation with ILO on establishing day care facilities for working women to provide them a conducive work environment such that they continue to work productively as married working mothers. In the same meeting the Gender Responsive Labour Inspection Toolkit developed for mainstreaming gender across all work areas was endorsed for use during labour inspections. ILO will provide technical assistance to in the implementation of both the PC-1 and the GRLI roll out.

  3. Tripartite Workshop to Promote SAFE WORK

    The high level tripartite workshop will help articulate commitment of constituents and identify recommendations to promote Safe Work.

  4. Invitation for expression of interest (EOI)- Provision of Skills Development Services under GE4DE project

    6 - 27 November 2012

    The ILO is seeking to shortlist implementing partners to deliver skills development projects in Balochistan, KPK and Gilgit-Baltistan.

  5. "Khadija": business development training and business plan competition

    1 - 8 November 2012

    Potential entrepreneurs identified through GE4DE skills development programmes will be trained using ILO's module, Know About Business (KAB), followed by a business plan competition. The Awards ceremony is on Nov 17th.

  6. Training on Gender Sensitive Value Chain Analysis

    9 - 13 July 2012

    This training is organized for ILO’s constituents and selected GE4DE’s skills, development and research partners.

  7. Youth Employment in Asia and the Pacific

    1 May 2012

    As a lead-up to the Youth Employment Forum to be held in Geneva, 23-25 May 2012, many activities were held globally to highlight youth employment issues. Thirteen countries in Asia and the Pacific are organizing various activities to raise awareness on the importance of youth employment.

  9. National level photo competition 2012 - On the fight against child labour

    1 February - 25 March 2012

    ILO in collaboration with the European Union under its project “Combating Abusive Child Labour II” is pleased to announce a National level Photo competition on the fight against child labour and encourages the journalists, students and general public to enter their photographs depicting various aspects of child labour in this competition.

  3. Expression of interest - Long term skills initiatives under GE4DE project

    Skills development initiatives will be implemented through two approaches – one focusing on particular economic sectors, in this case clothing and home textiles and services, and the other focusing on particular types of communities, in this case, coastal and riverine communities.     The ILO, under its project, Promoting Gender Equality for Decent Employment (GE4DE) is soliciting proposals for skills development and employment for coastal and riverine communities (located on the banks of a river or sea shore ).   1. ILO Photography competition 2010 -Gender Equality for Decent Employment
