Events and meetings

The ILO Country Office for Pakistan organizes and takes part in a wide range of meetings, conferences, workshops and training events. More information about the events listed below can be found by clicking on the relevant link.

2012

  1. Youth Employment in Asia and the Pacific

    1 May 2012, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste and Viet Nam

    As a lead-up to the Youth Employment Forum to be held in Geneva, 23-25 May 2012, many activities were held globally to highlight youth employment issues. Thirteen countries in Asia and the Pacific are organizing various activities to raise awareness on the importance of youth employment.

  3. National level photo competition 2012 - On the fight against child labour

    1 February - 25 March 2012, Islamabad, Pakistan

    ILO in collaboration with the European Union under its project “Combating Abusive Child Labour II” is pleased to announce a National level Photo competition on the fight against child labour and encourages the journalists, students and general public to enter their photographs depicting various aspects of child labour in this competition.

  1. Green Jobs-AP online discussion forum on policies, programs and measures to promote Green Jobs

    This forum seeks participants’ experiences, expertise and feedback on the issue. Participation is open to all who have an interest in green jobs related issues.

  3. Expression of interest - Long term skills initiatives under GE4DE project

    25 March - 20 April 2011, Islamabad, Pakistan

    Skills development initiatives will be implemented through two approaches – one focusing on particular economic sectors, in this case clothing and home textiles and services, and the other focusing on particular types of communities, in this case, coastal and riverine communities. In both approaches, competency based, employment oriented training, post-training support and public sector capacity buildings are the key requirements…

  5. Promoting Gender Equality for Decent Employment (GE4DE). Request for Proposals for Skills Development

    The ILO, under its project, Promoting Gender Equality for Decent Employment (GE4DE) is soliciting proposals for skills development and employment for coastal and riverine communities (located on the banks of a river or sea shore ).   6. Asia-Pacific Knowledge Sharing Network on Youth Employment (APYouthNet): Rejuvenation Event

    APYouthNet will host a rejuvenation event to take stock of the progress made in the community since its launch two years ago.

  1. ILO Photography competition 2010 -Gender Equality for Decent Employment

    In order to highlight the issue of gender disparity and its various manifestations in the workplace, the ILO is organizing a photography competition to engage individuals and professional organizations aimed at inspiring people to think about women, men, girls and boys in the world of work, and capturing both the challenges they face and achievements they have made.

  2. APYouthNet Online Discussion Forum on Active Labour Markets for Young People

    Moderated by Professor Niall O’Higgins from Salerno University in Italy, this forum seeks participants’ experiences, expertise and feedback on the issue. Participation is open to all who have an interest in youth employment related issues.

  1. National tripartite celebration of the 90th anniversary and launch of the campaign to promote the Social Justice Declaration
