Endorsement of Gender Responsive Labour Inspection Toolkit and Gender Mainstreaming in PC by Department of Labour Sindh

In a meeting with Secretary Labour Sindh, negotiations on the drafting PC-1s were led forward. The secretary showed keen interest in a programme that looks at providing women with better working conditions and environment. Amongst various priorities; health vouchers and hostels exclusively for working women were discussed. ILO will provide technical assistance in the formulation of the PC-1 and feasibility studies where required. In the same meeting the Gender Responsive Labour Inspection Toolkit developed for mainstreaming gender across all work areas was endorsed for use during labour inspections.
