Government of Punjab and ILO Expand Partnership to Combat Child and Bonded Labour

According to the Government of Pakistan, 8,000 child and bonded labourers have been rehabilitated.

According to the Government of Pakistan, 8,000 child and bonded labourers have been rehabilitated.

Further to this, the ILO Country Office for Pakistan and the Government of Punjab is expanding its partnership to implement a seven year long “Integrated Project for Elimination of Child Labour and Bonded Labour (2014-2020)” in 36 Districts of Punjab Province. This integrated project is fully funded by Government of Punjab and takes into account the results and lessons learnt during ILO’s 20 year collaboration with the Government on various Child Labour and Bonded Labour interventions in Pakistan.
