  1. Brief report on the observance of the World Day Against Child Labour 2010 Pakistan

    Various activities commemorating the World Day Against Child Labour were held in Pakistan during the period 10 – 16 June 2010 under the over all theme of the campaign “Go for the Goal … End Child Labour”. The Day was celebrated in collaboration with the ILO tripartite constituents; Government, Employers and Workers, and the partner NGOs, civil society, academia, and target beneficiaries.

  2. World Day against Child Labour - countries to "go for the goal" and tackle child labour

    As the football World Cup in South Africa kicked off, countries throughout Asia-Pacific marked World Day against Child Labour with an urgent appeal to "Go For the goal - end child labour".

  3. Capacity Enhancement of Ministry of Labour through Establishment of Labour Market Information and Analysis Unit

    In order to address the short comings of the existing Labour Market Information System (LMIS) of the Labour and Manpower Division, a Labour Market Information and Analysis Unit has been established to provide up-to-date and timely Labour Market Information and Analysis that will serve as an input into the formulation and monitoring of labour and employment policies. The project is being implemented with the assistance of UNDP and ILO.

  4. Women Employment Concerns and Working Conditions (WEC-PK)

    A national project adopting the ILO Decent Work Agenda aimed at enhancing the quantity and quality of women’s employment in Pakistan by working with key ILO’s constituents: government, workers' organizations, employers’ organizations and civil society.

  5. Preventing and Eliminating Exploitative Child Domestic Work in South Asia

    In April 2001, under the IPEC core action programmes, an initiative was launched in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Women Development, Social Welfare and Special Education, to address the issue of Child Domestic Labour (CDL) in Pakistan, under the Ministry’s programme to assist children in especially difficult circumstances.
