This paper provides statistical evidence for some of the most important gender differences with regard to child labour. It is based on the analysis of 16 household-based national child labour surveys (NCLS) from all major regions of the world conducted between 1999 and 2007 with the assistance of IPEC's Statistical Information and Monitoring Programme on Child Labour (SIMPOC).
