Presidents of MERCOSUR adopted the Second Declaration on the Prevention and Elimination of Child Labour

It recognizes the progress made since the First Declaration adopted in 2002 and states the actions and commitments needed towards the elimination of child labour.

During the Ist Regional Conference on the Prevention and Elimination of Child Labour (28-29 June 2012, Mendoza, Argentina), the Presidents of MERCOSUR adopted the Second Declaration on the Prevention and Elimination of Child Labour which recognizes the progress made since the First Declaration adopted in 2002. It also states the actions and commitments needed towards the elimination of child labour, including: to enhance dialogue between government actors, to promote Public-Private Partnerships, and to generate a new synergy that allows to private companies to make concrete commitments.
