    The Report on the National Child Labour Survey 2010 of Lao PDR provides many useful insights into the child labour situation of Lao PDR. It examines in detail various aspects of child labour, including its demographic and educational implications, the economic and non-economic activities children engage in, hazardous forms of child labour, children working in the informal sector and migrant child workers, by age groups, sex and locality.

  2. Working children in the Republic of Yemen: The results of the 2010 National Child Labour Survey

    The 2010 National Child Labour Survey was designed to provide indicators on three main aspects of children’s lives: economic activity, schooling and unpaid household services. The survey covered 9,571 households containing 67,617 individuals, 23,535 of whom were children between 5 and 17 years of age.

  1. Pilot Survey 2010: Working Children in Dry Fish Industry in Bangladesh

    To undertake this survey, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and ILO-IPEC with other stakeholders jointly identified the Dry Fish Industry located in selected five coastal districts of the Bay of Bengal. The aim of the survey was to investigate the forced labour of children and its measurement on the basis of certain indicators such as unfree recruitment, work imposed, freedom of work, dependency, coercion/ penalty etc. in line with ILO Conventions C 29 and C 105.

  2. Kenya labour market survey for older children withdrawn from worst forms of child labour: Kitui district report

    This report details key findings of a labour market survey for youth in age range 15-17 years, in Kitui Central District, Kenya. The survey sought to understand the situation of the older children and youth and consequently carry out a labour market assessment with a focus on this target group.
