School attendance among children of brick kiln workers in India has increased remarkably since 2009. This is a result of the Empolyers' Association's (CABMA) partnership with the ILO to promote the welfare of workers.
The IPEC Karnataka child labour project has a holistic approach to eliminate and prevent child labour, through its four levels; community, block, disctrict and state.
This SIMPOC study gathered preliminary evidence on wages and productivity of children and adults in two occupations in each of four selected countries in different world regions. Survey work was carried out in Ghana, India, the Philippines and Uganda in 2004 and 2005.

In 2007, after the ILO-IPEC-INDUS Child Labour Project had run for about four years, its Project Directors were asked to identify those components of the project where their district had achieved success, so that others could benefit from their experience. This book follows an analysis of the answers provided, plus the feedback from the INDUS Project team at ILO, New Delhi, who have been actively monitoring the project on the ground.
