    The study sought to identify viable alternative or additional livelihood sources for cocoa families in some districts in the Western Region of Ghana using social survey research methods particularly focus group discussions.

  1. Education Needs Assessment in Target Cocoa Growing Communities (including coverage of migrant children)

    The final document duly edited will be provided later.A needs assessment was carried out to identify the main issues that keep children out of school in the target project districts and to design appropriate interventions. The study involved a qualitative research that used secondary data, including literature review of legislative, policy and programme documents related to education to ascertain the state of education in Ghana.

  1. Child labour wages and productivity: Results from demand-side surveys

    This SIMPOC study gathered preliminary evidence on wages and productivity of children and adults in two occupations in each of four selected countries in different world regions. Survey work was carried out in Ghana, India, the Philippines and Uganda in 2004 and 2005.
