This leafl et sets out a care model for children and adolescents victims of commercial sexual exploitation crimes, providing information aimed at encouraging improvements to the care offered to these girls, boysand adolescents.
Over one hundred and fifty people ¿men, women, children and dolescents¿from all walks of life in three districts of Belize, namely Belize, Cayo and Orange Walk Districts, confirmed the occurrence of the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. Thirty of theserespondents were victims themselves of the crime. The information contained in this brochure attempts to highlight the main finding of the study.

This study on the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) is intended as one of the many efforts aimed at the continued strengthening of the child protection responses. It helps us to better understand the manifestations of CSEC in Belize, both in its old forms and its emerging ones, and it also helps us to see it through the new lens of being one of the worst forms of child labour being experienced by children globally.
