The event will start with light refreshments, a musical performance by the “Choeur pour l’abolition du travail des enfants” from Côte d’Ivoire and a multi-media exhibition by students from the International School of Geneva.

The panel discussion, moderated by Nomia IQBAL from the BBC, will start promptly at 2:00 p.m.

Our panellists have extensive experience working on supply chains in different sectors such as agriculture and mining, and bring a variety of perspectives, including that of companies seeking to do business with a positive impact on children’s lives.

Come and listen as they share their experience and the challenges they face along the way.

The “Choeur pour l’abolition du travail des enfants” is a group of artists from Côte d’Ivoire who have joined together in 2013 to sensitize the Ivorian public about child labour. They will perform the song “Mon enfant” by the author and composer Serge Bilé.

Chorus from the song “Mon enfant”
Mon enfant
Tu vaux mieux que tout l’or du monde
Mon enfant
Tu vaux mieux que ta peine
Mon enfant
Tu vaux mieux que tout l’or immonde
Ce monde
Qui te broie et te saigne

Translation of the chorus from the song “My child”: My child/You are better than all the gold in the world/ My child/You are better than all your pain/ My child/ You are better than all the filthy gold/ That crushes you and makes you bleed.
