    Maestro Claudio Abbado, one the greatest conductors of our age, Life Senator in Italy and co-founder of the Music Against Child Labour Initiative, died aged 80 on 20 January 2014 in Bologna. ILO-IPEC reflects on his career and his commitment to the struggle against child labour.

    Italian Ministry of Education launches a “Music against Child Labour” competition open to all 14-18 year old secondary school students

    The competition will involve secondary school students in educational activities, based on the methods of ILO-IPEC’s SCREAM programme and of the Media Education for Development (MED) association.
