Tackling child labour in supply chains - Child Labour Platform (CLP) Meeting
The December meeting of the CLP will include a panel discussion on the role of investors in eliminating child labour in supply chains, both from the perspective of companies and investors themselves. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for discussion on key themes, including remediation, impact assessment and the role of multi-stakeholder initiatives and due diligence. New CLP tools and research will be presented, with a focus on detailed training material on child labour being developed by a member company, with the support of the ILO.

On Wednesday 16 September a panel convened at a side event of the Human Rights Council assessed the most effective strategies and recommend concrete measures for States, businesses and other stakeholders to prevent and eradicate contemporary forms of slavery from supply chains and to provide assistance and redress to victims.
