Activity 5: Tripartite consultation workshops to identify decent work indicators

National consultation workshops are held in which national stakeholders identify - jointly with ILO experts and with EC cooperation input - and examine the most relevant decent work indicators and develop a plan for national action in data collection, analysis and dissemination.

A comprehensive and consolidated list of decent work indicators has been produced as an outcome of the ILO tripartite meeting of experts in September 2008. At country level, some process of prioritization and selection of the most appropriate decent work indicators is required, reflecting both national ownership and feasibility.

At national level, two sets of indicators have been identified: a supplementary list of indicators (in order to reflect national context, used in developing the Decent Work Country Profiles) and a short list of priority indicators (used in national monitoring system of development plan): Niger, Zambia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Peru and Ukraine.
