1.  Errors about “Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest …”?

2.  Download with Internet Explorer receives an error: “Windows cannot access specified device, path or file…”?

  1.    Q: When I download the EXE file, right-click and run as administrator to install, I get the following message window, how to resolve my problem?

A: Thank you for choosing our Excel Add-in. We are aware of this issue, which is a built-in security feature from Microsoft Office. A Trusted Root Certificate for the Add-in will be published soon. In the meantime, please install it following the instruction below:

                                i.            Right click on ILOSTAT_Excel_AddIn_2013.exe,

ii.            Select properties then the Digital Signatures tab

iii.            Select the only one item from the signature list, then click Details

iv.            Click View Certificate and Click Install Certificate.

Do not let it automatically choose where to store the certificate, install the certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store. After that, you should be able to double click and run the setup .exe file as usual.

  1. Q: When I download the EXE file with Internet Explorer, it asks “Do you want to run or save setup.exe (xxx KB) from ilo.org?”, if I click “Run”, I received an Error as following.

A: This error occurs when you want to open (“Run”) the temporary downloaded EXE file from the permission restricted folder under C:\Windows. In order to run the EXE properly, click “Save” and then “Save as” to assign a directory (to allocate “setup.exe”) where you have the access permission. After that, you should be able to run the setup.exe file from the saved location as usual.
