- This chapter contains the list of ratifications by Convention and by
country. Reservations are not permitted under ILO practice. However, some
Conventions provide for partial ratification or progressive application of their provisions
How to use:
- Ratifications are defined as one document per Convention and country. The document
shows the Convention No., short title and date of coming into force. The country name
is followed by the date of ratification. Declarations of Applicability are included, if any, and Obligatory
and Voluntary Declarations, if the Convention provides for them. Conditional
ratifications are indicated as such, although the conditions attached are not given in full.
- The STATUS of a Ratification may be "active", "denounced" or "pending" - in the case of a ratification of a Convention which has not yet come into force (most Conventions come into force one calendar year after the second ratification is registered; there are exceptions to this rule - please see the Final
Provisions of individual Conventions for details).
