Finance Committee

General information

The Finance Committee of Government Representatives (ILC Standing Orders, articles 7bis and 55(3)) is composed of one Government delegate from each Member of the Organization represented at the Conference. The Committee elects a Chairperson and a Vice-Chairperson. The Director General, accompanied by a tripartite delegation from the Governing Body, is entitled to attend the meetings of the Committee. The decisions of the Committee are taken by a two-thirds majority of the votes cast by the members of the Committee present at the meeting.

Under item II of the Conference agenda, the Finance Committee was called on to examine and adopt the Programme and Budget of the ILO for the 2022–23 biennium, to consider and adopt the financial statements for the years ended 31 December 2019 and 31 December 2020, and to consider other financial and administrative matters referred to it by the Governing Body.

The Finance Committee met on Monday 31 May and Friday 4 June to deal with all the above-mentioned items.

During the resumed part of the 109th Session, the Committee will exceptionally reconvene on Tuesday 30 November to consider the draft resolution concerning the funding of postponed 2020-21 meetings in the biennium 2022-23 submitted by the Governing Body to the Conference (see documents CF/D.1 (Add.1) and CF/D.5 below).
