Media Assessment on child labour

ENHANCE project will conduct an assessment of national and provincial media groups, media providers including internet providers, channels and platforms to assess the feasibility and provide recommendation for ENHANCE’s public awareness raising strategy.

ENHANCE project will conduct an assessment of mass media and communication in Vietnam including traditional mass media (print, radio, TV, outdoor media) and new media (internet, social media and mobile) and public relations activities/ events conducted to promote awareness about child labour and/ or related topics. The assessment/audit will be for the past one year of reporting (July 2015 – June 30, 2016) and covering the public and private sector public service announcements, advertising/ communication campaigns and public relations and advocacy activities.

The assessment will provide in depth information on the types, channels, programmes, availability, coverage and effectiveness of communication and public awareness raising efforts on child labour and/or related topics. Based on the results, the project will design a communications strategy for the life of the project including mass media, social media and telecommunications focused campaign and events campaigns to inform the public about child labour, hazardous child labour and the prohibitions against it to inspire discussion across a wide cross-section of society.
