Meeting of the Sixth Joint Steering Committee of ILO/Japan OSH Project

The meeting is an annual activity of the project to exchange information and experiences between the ILO and social partners.

The meeting is an annual activity of the project on Effective Implementation of National Occupational Safety ad Health (OSH) Programme for Improving Safety and Health at Workplace in Viet Nam to exchange information and experiences between the Project Management Unit members, representatives of the four target provinces, the ILO experts, the donor and other relevant agencies.

In 2011, the Sixth Joint Steering Committee Meeting is organized in Thanh Hoa, one of four targeted provinces. In addition to participants from provincial level, around 20 participants from Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, Japanese Government, World Health Organization Regional Office and WHO Viet Nam, ILO Bangkok and ILO Hanoi join the meeting. The objective of the meeting are: (i) to review achievements gained by the project after two years of implementation; (ii) to discuss the way to sustain the project’s achievements in the future and; (iii) to discuss collaborative mechanism in the second phase of the project in the period of 2012-2014.
