  1. Spotlight on Cooperation during the Culminating Event “Strengthening Partnerships: Livelihood at the Forefront of Recovery Following Haiyan”

    The culminating event brought together ILO partners who shared experiences and lessons learnt during the Haiyan response. They also showcased decent work practices, including social protection, and promoted the principle that livelihood support should be at the forefront of post-disaster relief, recovery and development.

  2. ILO's participation in the 20th International AIDS Conference

    The ILO is participating in AIDS2014, which is expected to gather over 10,000 delegates (including policy makers, programme implementers, practitioners, activists, scientists, journalists, people living with HIV) from nearly 200 countries on the theme: Stepping up the pace. The ILO and its partners will highlight the contribution of the world of work to the AIDS response through various events and activities held from 20 to 24 July in Melbourne, Australia.

  3. 15th Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting - Thematic panel I: Coordinated macroeconomic, employment and social protection policies

    This panel considers ways that trade and investment policies can work with tax and social protection systems to support employment, and ensure that the benefits of growth and productivity are shared more widely.
