This year’s committee at the 106th International Labour Conference will discuss this as well as fair recruitment in order to contribute to the UN global compacts on refugees and safe, orderly and regular migration.

Refugee crisis and access to labour markets must be a shared responsibility, says ILO

It is not possible to expect those developing countries - which by the accident of geographical proximity are bearing at the moment most of the responsibility - to deal with the refugee crisis on their own, said ILO Director-General, Guy Ryder to the BBC. The UN General Assembly hosted a high-level summit on September 19 to address large movements of refugees and migrants, with the aim of bringing countries together behind a more humane and coordinated approach.
