The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration

The Global Compact for Migration (GCM) offers the international community the opportunity to improve workplace productivity and deliver decent work outcomes for migrant and national workers, as well as to shift current misperceptions of migration, by readjusting migration policies to effectively include all labour market aspects.  Laws, policies and institutions, in the country and across borders, matter greatly in achieving this goal.

  2. GLOBAL MIGRATION GROUP (GMG)

ILO contribute to Global Migration Group (GMG), an inter-agency group bringing together heads of agencies to promote the wider application of all relevant international and regional instruments and norms relating to migration, and to encourage the adoption of more coherent, comprehensive and better coordinated approaches to the issue of international migration. The GMG is particularly concerned with improving the overall effectiveness of its members and other stakeholders in capitalizing upon the opportunities and responding to the challenges presented by international migration.
The ILO is one of the original GMG member agencies and co-chairs with IOM the Task Force on Migration and Decent Work
