    First Joint Meeting of the ASEAN Confederation of Employers and the ASEAN Trade Union Council

    Both ACE and ATUC have acknowledged the value of holding this joint meeting between ATUC and ACE to address emerging issues, build trust and put forward common positions to the ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers (ACMW) and Senior Labour Officials Meeting (SLOM).

    Fourth Capacity Building Workshop on Strengthening the Role of Labour Attachés in Thailand

    The appointment of labour attachés or consular officials to major countries of destination is an important measure for migrant sending countries to ensure the protection of their migrant workforce. Labour attachés perform a vital role in the protection of migrant workers and in the development of effective labour migration policies. This fourth workshop is being held with the specific objective to update labour attachés and consular officials on developments in migration in ASEAN and on recent changes to Thailand’s labour migration policies and practices.

    The report provides a broad-based quantitative analysis of the current and emerging trends in international labour migration into, from, and among the ten Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

    The ILO ASEAN TRIANGLE Project, funded by the Government of Canada, is pleased to invite you to the Launch in Bangkok of the International Labour Migration Statistics (ILMS) Database in ASEAN, and its accompanying Analytical Report at 10:00 – 11:30 am on Friday, 4 December 2015 at Room G of the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) located at 76 Rajadamnern Nok Ave, Bangkok.
