Workshop to prepare for a Sector Study in Nepal (ECLM project)
A Workshop was held in Kathmandu from August 29 - September 2 in in the context of the project "Assessing the economic contribution of labour migration in developing countries as countries of destination" (ECLM). The workshop was organised in collaboration with Social Science Baha, a research institution in Nepal, and discussed the implementation of a study of the manufacturing and small trade sectors.

A National Consultation Seminar was held in Nepal on December 1, 2015, and brought together more than 40 policymakers, government officials and experts to discuss various aspects of the role of migrant workers in Nepal, in the context of the "Assessing the economic contribution of labour migration in developing countries as countries of destination" (ECLM) project. The Joint ILO-UN Women Regional Workshop on Effective Social and Economic Reintegration of Women Migrant Workers was held on the 19 – 21st August 2014 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The regional workshop was held with the aim to identify, document and share good practices in the reintegration services and programs for returning women migrant workers, which effectively foster both their social and economic integration.
