Mr. Jesse Mertens has been with the Labour Migration Branch since March 2012. As a Technical Officer, he currently provides technical support to the MIGRANT Branch in Geneva, particularly with regard to measuring the impacts of labour migration, focusing on bilateral labour agreements and labour migration data and statistics.

Mr. Mertens graduated from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, after completing his MSc in Migration, Ethnic Relations, and Multiculturalism. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences from the University of Maastricht.

Working languages: English, Dutch, Spanish, and French (working knowledge), passive knowledge of German and Portuguese.
