    The ILO Director-General, Guy Ryder, delivered a video message to a seminar in Stockholm with Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, to discuss the report of the ILO's Global Commission on the Future of Work "Work for a Brighter Future". The seminar was organized by the Swedish Trade Union Confederation LO and Union to Union, the Swedish trade union movement's organization for international development cooperation.

    The summit, which saw Africa Ministers of Labour from Member states, who are members of the Africa Regional Labour Administration Centre (ARLAC) has ended. It was a busy three days, which started with the 45th ARLAC Governing Council, then on the second day, a discussion on the draft standard on ‘violence and harassment in the world of work’; and on the last day, the launch and deliberations of the Global Commission Report on the Future of Work; and concluding on a high note with celebrations of the ILO’s 100 years of existence hosted by the Government of South Africa.
