  1. Inception Report for the Global Commission on the Future of Work: Your thoughts

    Ahead of the first meeting of the Global Commission on the Future of Work, the ILO prepared an Inception Report with the aim of setting the stage for a fruitful discussion. The ILO is inviting its tripartite constituents as well as others with expertise in the world of work, including companies, foundations, civil society organizations and individuals, to share their views on the issues raised in the report and to provide any additional thoughts on the theme of the Future of Work.

  2. ILO Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean Breakfast Meeting

    This event will showcase in a concise, high-impact manner how the ILO is preparing with the Caribbean for the future of work through the presentation of the two aforementioned documents. This aims to reinforce ILO’s voice and visibility as the world’s expert agency for the world of work, and indeed the future of work, in this case focusing on training.

  3. ILO participation in the 2nd Philippine Cooperative Managers’ Conference

    On 24-25 November 2017, ILO Enterprise Development Specialist from ILO CO Manila participated in the 2nd Philippine Cooperative Managers’ Conference organized by the National Capital Region League of the Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives (NCRL-PFCCO) in Tagaytay, the Philippines.

  4. Future of Social Dialogue in the Republic of Korea

    ILO has been participating in the international symposium on social dialogue in Seoul on 29 November 2017. The symposium brings together tripartite constituents of the Republic of Korea, the Economic and Social Councils of France, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands and the ILO.

    Over 180 participants from 37 countries gathered in Athens on 23-24 November 2017 to adopt a landmark Declaration on Social Dialogue and the Future of Work.

    The Conference on Social Dialogue and the Future of Work is organized in the framework of the ILO Director-General’s Future of Work Centenary Initiative and the cooperation agreement between AICESIS and ILO. The objective of the Conference is to discuss the important transformations taking place in the world of work and to identify actions Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (ESC-SIs) can take to help shape the future of work in a manner that best serves the interest of employers, workers and society at large. The Conference will foster and promote the sharing of good practices regarding policy responses designed to mitigate challenges related to the changing world of work.

  8. ILO-AICESIS-OKE International Conference on Social Dialogue and the Future of Work - Day 1

    The Conference on Social Dialogue and the Future of Work is organized in the framework of the ILO Director-General’s Future of Work Centenary Initiative and the cooperation agreement between AICESIS and ILO.     The International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) and the Economic and Social Council of Greece (OKE) are jointly organizing a Conference on “Social Dialogue and the Future of Work”. The Conference is organized in the framework of the ILO’s Director General’s Future of Work Centenary Initiative and the cooperation agreement between AICESIS and ILO.
