    As part of the global launch of the International Labour Organization’s 50 for Freedom campaign against modern slavery, Selma actor, David Oyelowo, voices the real-life story of a man tricked and trapped into slavery. Oyelowo is one of several Hollywood artists who are supporting the campaign, led by the ILO, which launches on 20 October.

  2. Wagner Moura tells the real-life story of a modern-day slave

    The International Labour Organization's Goodwill Ambassador, actor, Wagner Moura, voices the real-life story of a victim of forced labour, in support of the 50 for Freedom campaign against modern slavery. The campaign aims to persuade governments to ratify a new international treaty - the Forced Labour Protocol - which is designed to eliminate contemporary forms of slavery for good.

  3. Maria Grazia Giammarinaro: "Joining efforts to combat forced labour and trafficking in persons"

    This video captures the views of Dr. Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially in women and children, on how to prevent forced labour and trafficking in persons. It was prepapred for the joint ILO, UNODC and OHCHR side-event to the Human Rights Council on "Preventing the exploitation of workers during recruitment", which took place on June 24, 2015 in Geneva.

    This video captures an array of views on fair recruitment from government officials, representative employers’ and workers’ organizations and other key partners involved in ILO's Fair Recruitment Initiative. The ILO launched this global multistakeholder initiative to help prevent human trafficking and forced labour; protect the rights of workers, including migrant workers, from abusive and fraudulent practices during the recruitment process; reduce the cost of labour migration and enhance development outcomes for migrant workers and their families, as well as for countries of origin and destination.

He spoke to UN Radio in support of the ILO's "50 for Freedom" campaign, which aims to secure the ratification by 50 countries of the Forced Labour Protocol.
