Policies to formalize paid domestic work in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Domestic work is one of the occupations most affected by informality in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is estimated that around 18 million people are engaged in domestic work in the region, of which 77.5% are in the informal economy.

This report forms part of this effort as it systematizes information on the situation of domestic workers and on key measures countries in the region have taken to formalize and improve working conditions in the domestic work sector.
