    EIIP Workshop on the Labor-Intensive Project with Municipalities in Jordan

    In preparation of phase VI Employment Intensive Investment Program EIIP, ILO in Jordan in coordination with Ministry of Local Administration MOLA organised a Orientation workshop for 31 municipalities. The Project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through German Development Bank (KfW) will create 112,500 paid decent work-days for 1,250 Jordanians and Syrians in the northern and middle municipalities in Jordan.

    Report Summary: Workers with Disabilities in Jordan’s Garment Sector

    The present study is an assessment of the realities faced by workers with disability in Jordan’s garment factories, from a sample of nine main factories and three satellite factories in the country’s garment sector (12 factories total) within three industrial zones located in Ad-Dulayl, Sahab, and Irbid.

    COP27: ILO events streamed from the Just Transition Pavilion

    Keeping the social dimension of climate change at the forefront of discussions is the focus of events being organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) at the up-coming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27). Together with the European Commission, the ILO hosts the first ever Just Transition Pavilion, a convening space for events, meetings and knowledge sharing around just transition and climate action in cooperation with the UNFCCC, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and International Organisation of Employers (IOE).
