The ILO organized two sessions of trainers (ToT) on ILO’s tools “Think.COOP, Start.COOP and My.COOP" for cooperative service providers in Morocco. The first workshop took place in Rabat and Kenitra between 5 and 16 September 2022 and the second one took place between 19 to 30 September 2022. The workshops were organized within the framework of ILO’s ProAgro which promotes decent work in agribusiness through an integrated strategy combining support for the implementation of employment policies, skills development, development of agro-industrial value chains and entrepreneurship training.

The two training workshops brought together 18 women and 15 men from three national service providers namely, the Cooperation Development Office (‘ODCO’), the Regional Centre for Young Agricultural and Food Entrepreneurs (‘CRJEA’), and the Agency for Agricultural Development (‘ADA’).

The ToT sessions were provided by two master trainers who covered the contents of the ILO’s training materials. The training methodology included discussions, field visits and micro teaching session whereby participants could demonstrate their ability to display their newly acquired knowledge and skills. As a next step, one-to-one coaching sessions will be organized in early 2023 before the participants are certified.

This activity was also an opportunity to engage with ODCO to discuss the possible institutionalization of ILO’s training tools into its portfolio of services. ODCO confirmed the relevance of the contents of ILO materials and expressed willingness to support the adaptation of the tools to the Moroccan context to facilitate the institutionalization process.
