--------------
The International Day of Cooperatives (IDC) is celebrated on the first Saturday of July every year. It was first celebrated under the auspices of the United Nations in 2005, though its history as a day celebrated by the international cooperative movement and the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) goes back to 1923. This year, the theme of the IDC is "Cooperatives for Climate Action".

On the eve of the IDC, and as part of the ILO COOP Centenary Webinar series, the ILO will organize a webinar on this theme on 3 July 2020 between 13:30 and 15:00 (CEST). The webinar aims to highlight climate change mitigation and adaptation actions being undertaken by cooperative enterprises and their relevance in creating decent jobs.
