  1. Tripartite Meeting of Experts in Labour Statistics on the Advancement of Employment and Unemployment Statistics

    The meeting of experts is expected to discuss and make recommendations on proposals to update the international standards of statistics of the economically active population, employment, unemployment and underemployment, including the development of measures of labour underutilization, with a view to advise the Office on its preparation of revised draft standards for submission to the 19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (Geneva, 2-11 October 2013). The Report for discussion by the meeting as well as the Final Report summarizing the outcomes of the meeting are available below.

  1. 3rd Meeting of the WG for the Advancement of Employment and Unemployment Statistics

    The 3rd Meeting of the Working Group for the Advancement of Employment and Unemployment Statistics will be organized by the ILO Department of Statistics on 3-5 September 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. The main objectives of the meeting are: (1) to discuss and provide feedback on the proposed revised draft resolution to be submitted to the ILO Tripartite Meeting of Experts; and (2) to discuss the proposed measures of labour underutilisation to supplement the unemployment rate.

    The Second Meeting of the ILO Working Group for the Advancement of Employment and Unemployment Statistics (WG) was held on 26-28 October 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland. It was organized by the ILO Department of Statistics to continue technical discussions to update the current international standards on statistics of the economically active population, employment, unemployment and underemployment. The revised standards will be presented for discussion and possible adoption by the 19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS) in 2013.
