Technical Expert Consultation on Labour Statistics: Moving towards a statistical definition of green jobs

Technical Expert Consultation on a statistical definition and measurement of green jobs was held on 27-28 November 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. It was organized by the ILO Department of Statistics to expose and discuss the preliminary ILO thinking on the conceptual and measurement framework for defining and identifying green jobs, including on the international definition of green jobs for statistical purposes. The proposal for a statistical definition of green jobs will will be presented for discussion and possible adoption by the 19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (Geneva, 2-11 October 2013).
