Conclusions of the Tripartite Meeting of Experts in Labour Statistics

The Meeting examined a preliminary proposal to revise the current international standards on statistics of the economically active population, employment, unemployment and underemployment (13th ICLS, 1982), as well to develop a set of measures of labour underutilization to supplement the unemployment rate. The conclusions of the meeting of experts will be taken into account by the Office to further refine the proposal for presentation to the 19th ICLS in October 2013, with a view to adopting new, revised international standards.
