Vanuatu ratifies the Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138)

Vanuatu has now ratified all of the 8 ILO Fundamental Conventions

On 24 June 2019, Vanuatu deposited with the International Labour Office the instrument of ratification of the Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138).

Vanuatu is the 172nd member State of the ILO to have ratified this fundamental Convention. Convention No. 138 will enter into force for Vanuatu on 24 June 2020, one year after its ratification.

Vanuatu thus contributes to the ILO Centenary Ratification Campaign, being one of the 55 countries with new ratifications or with instruments entering into force in 2019.
