Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group (SRM TWG)

Seventh meeting of the SRM TWG (2022)

The seventh meeting of the Standards Review Mechanism Tripartite Working Group will take place from 12 to 16 September 2022, when it will review the Workmen’s Compensation (Agriculture) Convention, 1921 (No. 12) and examine the follow-up to be taken to six further instruments falling within the topic of social security (employment injury) and previously determined to be outdated.

At the request of the Officers of the Governing Body, the SRM TWG has also been mandated to review the scope and content of the final provisions of international labour Conventions and develop recommendations, as appropriate, for the Governing Body.

Preparatory documents

A series of preparatory documents was prepared to facilitate discussions at this meeting. The first group of documents concern the SRM TWG’s review of the Workmen’s Compensation (Agriculture) Convention, 1921 (No. 12), and the examination of the follow-up to the six outdated instruments falling within the subject area of social security (employment injury). A second group of documents include two working papers concerning standards policy matters. The third group are supporting documents concerning the SRM TWG’s internal work plan, the implementation of previous SRM TWG recommendations, and arrangements for the seventh meeting.
