World of Work 2013: Brief on the European Union

The EU needs to create 6 million jobs to return to pre-crisis levels but labour market conditions continue to worsen accompanied by widening inequalities and higher risks of social unrest worsened by subdued investment and uncertain demand prospects. The challenge is to shift towards a more job-friendly approach.
