    This revised (2011) edition of the "Guidelines for the use of the ILO International Classification of Radiographs of Pneumoconioses" extends the applicability of the ILO scheme to classifications of results from digital radiographic images of the chest. The ILO Standard Digital Images (ILO 2011-D) have been prepared for this purpose.

    The number of physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial factors affecting workers’ health is constantly on the rise. The ILO has been responding to the challenge of creating safe and healthy working conditions since its founding in 1919. Agreed by governments as well as employers’ and workers’ organizations, this new list, approved in March 2010, reflects the state of the art in the identification and recognition of occupational diseases. The list, annexed here to the List of Occupational Diseases Recommendation, 2002 (No. 194), is designed to assist countries in their prevention, recording, notification and, if applicable, compensation of diseases caused by work.

    Establishes key principles and provides practical guidance to governments, employers' and workers' organizations, and other stakeholders in the formulation of policies and programmes at national and enterprise levels to combat HIV/AIDS. Based on the respect for fundamental rights at work and covers the following main areas: prevention of HIV/AIDS; management and mitigation of the impact of HIV/AIDS on the world of work; care and support of workers infected and affected by HIV/AIDS; and elimination of stigma and discrimination on the basis of real or perceived HIV status.
