Making the right to social security a reality for domestic workers: A global review of policy trends, statistics and extension strategies

This ILO report provides data on social protection deficits experienced by domestic workers and identifies the barriers standing in the way of their effective social protection coverage.

The report sets out concrete extension strategies, based on the guidance set out by internationally agreed normative frameworks and country-level experience, to help policymakers, implementers, representatives of domestic workers and their employers, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to overcome social protection barriers and make the right to social security a reality for domestic workers.
