Accreditation of journalists

Journalists based in Addis Ababa or those visiting Ethiopia, who are interested in obtaining accreditation to cover the 13th African Regional Meeting, must download and complete an Accreditation Form and email it to: addisababa@ilo.org by Wednesday 25th November 2015.

External Media partners who wish to cover the 13th ARM will be responsible for obtaining valid visas to the host country, Ethiopia. If requested in advance, the ILO will consider issuing a letter of support to assist with visa applications, but this will not imply or give any guarantees, financial or otherwise.

The ILO encourages journalists to submit their applications for accreditation well in advance to enable the appropriate authorities to finalize the process under the best conditions.

Media accreditation is required for coverage of the meeting, to access the plenary or opening and closing ceremony, and to participate in media activities.

Journalists, who have completed and emailed their forms, should collect their accreditation in the media accreditation area (at the Press Registration Desk) which will be set-up at the United Nations Conference Centre of Addis Ababa where the 13th African Regional Meeting will take place.

Badges will be issued on presentation of official identification cards. Journalists are invited to collect their press accreditations on presentation of a valid professional press card, an identity card or passport or a letter of assignment from the Editor-in-Chief of the media concerned.
