A Workshop for the training of instructors on the use of the 'Driving for Change: Training Toolkit on HIV/AIDS for the road transport sector', jointly organized by the ILO, the training arm of the International Road Transport Union (IRU Academy) and the International Trade Workers' Federation (ITF), will be held from 1-3 December 2008 (to coincide with the 2008 World AIDS Day) at the ILO Headquarters in Geneva.
The general aim of this workshop is to build the capacity of the employers and workers in the road transport sector to provide sector specific training on HIV/AIDS. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to deliver training based on the ILO/ IRU Academy/ ITF 'Driving for change - A training toolkit on HIV/AIDS for the road transport sector' to drivers and managers of road transport companies as well as to new instructors.
