‘Many migrant workers – particularly low skilled workers – find themselves paying large recruitment fees to intermediaries in order to secure work overseas. How to advance fair, ethical, and responsible recruitment?
In their search for work opportunities beyond their home countries, migrant workers are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse by unscrupulous employment agencies and intermediaries. It’s an issue that will be discussed at a virtual Global Forum for Responsible Recruitment that takes place 12-15 April. Governments, employers’ and workers' organisations, as well as global brands, suppliers, and recruitment agencies will take part, to find solutions and promote fair and responsible recruitment for all.

COVID-19 strategies must invest in human-centred recovery, ILO tells World Bank/IMF
