Workshop on Labour Issues in Bilateral and Regional Foreign Trade Agreements
The workshop is to discuss substantive labour issues under Foreign Trade Agreements (FTA) Negotiation.
The workshop will go to discuss substantive labour issues under Foreign Trade Agreements (FTA) Negotiation. There will be reports presented by national and international specialists on the practical negotiation, acceptance and application of labour clauses in concluded and on-going FTAs and their impacts on employment and income of workers. The participants will also discuss and share their concerns and challenges for Vietnam with respect to labour issues in the international integration process. The Workshop will explore negotiating skills, identify and solve related issues and will bring experiences and lessons to participants for their future work. The Workshop will be led by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs with the technical and financial assistance from the ILO Office in Vietnam
The Workshop on Labour Issues under FTA Negotiations may have up to 50 participants who are policy makers, negotiation experts, academics and government officers from different ministries and agencies, research institutes and centres, and Employee’s and Employer’s Representative Organizations.
