International Labour Standards: Four countries ratify ILO Conventions
Geneva, 31 March 2012 (ACTRAV INFO)- Bahrain, Bulgaria, Togo and Turkmenistan have ratified a series of ILO Conventions in March 2012 as follows:
Bahrain: C138 - Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138)
Bulgaria: C161 - Occupational Health Services Convention, 1985 (No. 161)
Togo:
- C081 - Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81) - 30 Mar 2012
- C122 - Employment Policy Convention, 1964 (No. 122)
- C129 - Labour Inspection (Agriculture) Convention, 1969 (No. 129)
- C150 - Labour Administration Convention, 1978 (No. 150) –
- C187 - Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187)
- MLC - Maritime Labour Convention, 2006
Turkmenistan: C138 - Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138)
The ILO has 183 member states. As of today, 395 ILO instruments (Conventions and Recommendations) were adopted by member States since its creation in 1919.
