Tuvalu becomes 182nd ILO Member State

GENEVA (ILO News) ─ Tuvalu has become the 182nd Member State of the International Labour Organization (ILO) following receipt in Geneva of a letter from Mr. Apisai Ielemia, Prime Minister and also Minister of Foreign Affairs and Labour, stating on behalf of the Government that Tuvalu had formally accepted the obligations of the ILO Constitution.

Tuvalu’s membership became effective on 27 May 2008. The country has been a member of the United Nations since 5 September 2000.
