95th International Labour Conference H.E. Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, to address ILO Annual Conference

H.E. Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia and Africa's first female elected Head of State, will address the International Labour Organization's annual conference on Wednesday, 7 June 2006 at 12:00 noon in the Assembly Hall of the Palais des Nations here.

GENEVA (ILO News) - H.E. Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia and Africa's first female elected Head of State, will address the International Labour Organization's annual conference on Wednesday, 7 June 2006 at 12:00 noon in the Assembly Hall of the Palais des Nations here.

During her one-day official visit, H.E. Ms. Johnson Sirleaf will also meet Members of the Africa Tripartite Group and ILO Director-General Juan Somavia.

The President will also hold a press conference at 4:00 pm in Room III, Palais des Nations.

The annual meeting of the ILO gathers some 4,000 worker, employer and government representatives from the ILO's Member States.
