Arrangements for the appointment of the Director-General

The Governing Body of the International Labour Office will elect a new Director-General of the ILO at the opening of its 271st Session on 23 March 1998.

The deadline for the receipt of candidatures (at ILO headquarters in Geneva) is set at noon on 23 February 1998.

The Rules governing the conditions of eligibility and the election of the Director-General are given below.
